Voreqe Bainimarama - Voreqe Bainimarama has Sworn in as Fiji’s Prime Minister for four more years after winning an election. Bainimarama first seized power in a military coup in 2006 and refashioned himself as a legitimate leader after winning an election in 2014.

Nandita Das - Filmmaker Nandita Das will be honoured with the International Federation of Film Producers Associations (FIAPF) Award at the 12th Asia Pacific Screen Awards (APSA) in Brisbane. Das will be presented the award in recognition of her achievement in film in the Asia Pacific region.

Indira Gandhi Prize - Centre for Science and Environment (CSE) has won this year's Indira Gandhi Prize for Peace, Disarmament and Development. The international jury for the awards was headed by former President Pranab Mukherjee.

Millie Bobby Brown - United Nations children’s agency UNICEF appointed Millie Bobby Brown, the star of hit Netflix series “Stranger Things”, as its youngest ever goodwill ambassador and the 14-year-old had a message for world leaders: “Listen to us.”

Birth Anniversary of Guru Nanak Dev - India and Pakistan exchanged letters, committing to build the required infrastructure for visa-free direct travel by Indian Sikh pilgrims to Pakistan’s Kartarpur Sahib gurdwara, allowing them to mark the 550th Birth Anniversary of Guru Nanak Dev in November 2019. India will build and develop a corridor from Dera Baba Nanak in Punjab's Gurdaspur district to the International Border to facilitate Sikh pilgrims visiting Gurdwara Darbar Sahib Kartarpur on the banks of the Ravi river in Pakistan.

Mechuka Adventure Festival - Promoting adventure tourism in Arunachal Pradesh, Bollywood superstar Salman Khan alongside MoS for Home Kiren Rijiju and CM Pema Khandu cycled in the state kicking off Mechuka Adventure Festival. Salman Khan is the ambassador of Arunachal Pradesh tourism.

Sushma Swaraj
Sushma Swaraj Visited Laos - External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj is on a 2-day visit to Laos. During her visit, Ms Swaraj will co-chair the 9th Meeting of India-Laos Joint Commission on Bilateral Co-operation with her counterpart Saleumxay Kommasith.

LoC Against Wilful Defaulters - Government has now allowed CEOs of public sector banks to directly seek issuance of look-out circulars (LOCs) against wilful defaulters to prevent them from fleeing the country. The change was made after recommendations by an inter-ministerial panel under Finance Secretary Rajiv Kumar.

ACROSS Programme - Cabinet approved continuation of nine sub-schemes under the ACROSS programme, aimed at providing improved weather, climate and ocean forecast and services, during 2017-2020 at an estimated cost of Rs 1,450 crore. The scheme, Atmosphere & Climate Research-Modelling Observing Systems & Services (ACROSS), will be implemented by the Ministry of Earth Sciences.

India-UAE Strategic Conclave - The second edition of the India-UAE Strategic Conclave will be held in capital city of Abu Dhabi. The conclave will initiate a dialogue to widen the scope of bilateral investments. Indian Ambassador to the UAE, Navdeep Suri will inaugurate the conclave. It is being organized by the Economic Times.

India and Australia Signed Five Agreement - India and Australia signed five agreements to boost investments and enhance cooperation in areas including services to the disabled, bilateral investment, scientific collaboration and agricultural research and education. The agreements were signed during Indian President Ram Nath Kovind’s Australian Visit. President Ram Nath Kovind on November 22, 2018 unveiled the statue of Mahatma Gandhi at Parramatta in Sydney, Australia.

USA Trade Dispute in WTO - World Trade Organization agreed to hear grievances from European Union, China, Canada, Norway, Mexico, and Russia against USA. The Dispute Settlement Body of WTO approved the constitution of panels to review US decision to hit a long line of countries with tariffs of 25% on steel and 10% on aluminium.

India and Vietnam Signed Four Agreement - India and Vietnam released a Joint Statement after extensive talks between Vietnam President Nguyen Phu Trong and Indian President Ram Nath Kovind. Four MoU were signed between the two nations.

ConMac 2018 - The Embassy of India in Nepal and Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) are organising an exhibition of construction equipment and technology ConMac 2018 in Bhaktapur near Kathmandu. The Ambassador of India to Nepal, Manjeev Singh Puri will be the Guest of Honour.

Cabinet Decision - Union Cabinet chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi has approved following decision –
# MoU between India and Mauritius on Consumer Protection and Legal Metrology.
# Cabinet approved the setting up of Medical College at Silvassa in the Union Territory (UT) of Dadra and Nagar Haveli.
# Cabinet has been apprised of an agreement on cooperation in the field of Science, Technology and Innovation between India and Uzbekistan.
# Cabinet has given its ex-post facto approval to the MoU between India and Tajikistan on Cooperation on Youth Matters.
# Cabinet has been apprised of the MoU between Atal Innovation Mission, India and Fund "Talent and Success" and Russia for promotion of science and technology through exchange of students, teachers, researchers and scientists between both countries.
# Allied and Healthcare Professions Bill, 2018 for regulation and standardisation of education and services by allied and healthcare professionals.

World Congress on Mountain Medicine - World Congress on Mountain Medicine started in Kathmandu. The theme of the congress is “Mountain Medicine in the Heart of the Himalayas”. The flagship event is being held first time in Nepal. 

International Green Apple Award - Manipal Academy of Higher Education won silver in the International Green Apple Award for Environmental best practice 2018.

Wasim Jaffer - Veteran first-class cricketer Wasim Jaffer became the first Indian batsman to touch the 11,000-run figure in the Ranji Trophy. The Vidharbha batsman achieved the milestone during the third-round match against Baroda in Nagpur, Maharashtra. 

Gas Distribution Facility - Prime Minister Narendra Modi laid foundation stones to mark the beginning of work for CNG supply to automobiles and piped cooking gas to kitchens in 129 districts of 18 states, covering over a quarter of India’s population. Prime Minister Narendra Modi said around 400 district will have city gas distribution facility in next 2 to 3 year.
