Harsimrat Kaur Badal and Hardeep Singh Puri - India will send Union ministers Harsimrat Kaur Badal and Hardeep Singh Puri to Pakistan next week to attend the groundbreaking ceremony of the Kartarpur corridor. Minister of External Affairs Sushma swaraj and Punjab Chief Minister Amarinder declined Pakistan’s invite while state minister Navjot Singh Sidhu accepted the request to attend ceremony.


Ram Statue in Ayodhya - Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath finalised the details for the construction of a 221-metre long bronze statue of Ram in Ayodhya. Inside the base of proposed Ram statue, there will be a provision for a “modern museum” that will showcase the history of Ayodhya and the entire “Ikshvaku Vansh” — right from King Manu to the present status of “Ram Janmabhoomi”.


India Russia Strategic Economic Dialogue - The first-ever India Russia Strategic Economic Dialogue is being held at St. Petersburg in Russia. The Indian side is being led by NITI Aayog Vice Chairman Rajiv Kumar, with the Russian delegation headed by Economic Development Minister Maxim Oreshkin. The participants will discuss the development of bilateral ties in trade, investment, technology and industry. 


Train-18 Completed First Trial - Train 18, the first long-distance engine-less train by Indian Railways, has successfully completed its first stage of trials up to the speed of 115 kmph on nominated track stretches in Moradadbad division by RDSO (Research Design and Standards Organisation). The new ‘Make in India’ engines-less Train 18, manufactured by Integral Coach Factory (ICF) Chennai, is a big technological leap for Indian Railways – an eco-friendly replacement for the premium Shatabdi Express trains. 


Noida and Greater Noida - United Nations selected Uttar Pradesh’s Noida and Greater Noida to participate in its Global Sustainable Cities 2025 initiative. The twin-cities have been selected in the “University City” category ahead of Mumbai and Bengaluru as the only invitee from India. Overall 25 cities across the world have been selected in five categories by the UN Global Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) cities initiative.


Three Projects on Indus Tributaries - India has decided to fast-track three projects to arrest the unutilised water of its share under the bilateral Indus Waters Treaty with Pakistan. The three projects include the Shahpur Kandi dam project, a second Sutlej-Beas link in Punjab and the Ujh Dam project in Jammu and Kashmir. Under the Indus Waters Treaty, waters flowing in three of Indus tributaries — the Sutlej, Beas and Ravi — have been allotted to India; while the Chenab, Jhelum and Indus waters have been allotted to Pakistan.


Passports in Less Than 48 Hours - Minister of State for External Affairs VK Singh has said, Indian missions across the world would soon issue passports in less than 48 hours to citizens abroad. He was addressing a gathering after launching the 'Passport Seva' project at the Indian Embassy in Washington. Earlier this week, the Indian mission at New York issued passports in less than 48 hours. The 'Passport Seva' project was first launched in the UK last month.

Foreign Minister of Romania Arrived India - Foreign Minister of Romania Teodor Melescanu arrived in New Delhi on a four-day visit to India. Mr Melescanu will meet External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj and  Deputy National Security Advisor. India and  Romania celebrate 70 years of establishment of diplomatic relations this year. 


NCC Commemorates Its 70th Raising Day - National Cadet Corps (NCC), the largest uniformed youth organisation in the world, celebrating its 70th Raising Day on 25 November. The raising day is also being celebrated all over India with cadets participating in marches, cultural activities and social development programmes.

Admiral Sunil Lanba - Admiral Sunil Lanba, Chief of the Naval Staff, Indian Navy is visiting Russia from 26 to 29 November 2018. The visit aims to consolidate bilateral defence relations with Russia, as also to explore new avenues for defence cooperation.
International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women - The International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women was observed on November 25, 2018. The 2018 theme of the day is Orange the World: #HearMeToo and like previous editions, the date marks the launch of 16 days of activism that will conclude on 10 December 2018, International Human Rights Day.

CK Jaffer Sharief 
CK Jaffer Sharief - Veteran Congress leader and former railway minister CK Jaffer Sharief died in Bengaluru, Karnataka. A seven-time Lok Sabha member, Sharief, became the railway minister during 1991 to 1995 in PV Narasimha Rao's cabinet.

Devadas Mallya Mangalore
Devadas Mallya Mangalore - InterGlobe Aviation, which operates the country’s largest airline IndiGo, said its Chairman Devadas Mallya Mangalore passed away. He had also served as Chairman and Managing Director of Bank of Baroda and Bank of Maharashtra.
