USA Withdrew From INF Treaty
USA Withdrew From INF Treaty - The U.S. is suspending its obligations under the Intermediate-Range Nuclear Forces (INF) Treaty effective February 2 and will withdraw from the treaty in six months, Secretary of State Mike Pompeo said. The treaty, signed during the Cold War in 1987, bans ground-launched missiles with a range of 500-5,500 km.

GST collection Crossed Rs 1 Lakh Crore - GST collection in January crossed Rs 1 lakh crore up from Rs 94,725 crore mopped up in December 2018. The collection collection was Rs 89,825 crore during the same month last year. It is for the third time that collections have crossed Rs 1 lakh crore in this fiscal.

Yes Bank said that the Reserve Bank of India had approved the interim appointment of Mr. Kumar. Mr. Gill is expected to take charge by March 1. The current MD and CEO Rana Kapoor’s term in Yes Bank ends on 31 January.

Trade Talk Between USA and China - China has agreed to make key concessions to expand American imports in agriculture, energy, manufacturing and services. The talks in Washington were first face-to-face cabinet-level talks between the US and China since the two countries in December last year struck a three-month long truce in their trade war. Should the talks fail, tariffs on 200 billion US dollars of Chinese imports are set to increase from 10 per cent to 25 per cent.
