Kacey Musgraves - Country singer Kacey Musgraves won the ‘Album of the Year’ award for her record "Golden Hour". Kacey Musgraves also won awards for best country album, best country song and best country solo performance.
Childish Gambino - Childish Gambino’s “This Is America” won four awards for song of the year, best rap or sung performance, best music video and record of the year.
# Cardi B - Cardi B became the first woman to win the Best Rap Album Grammy award for her debut 'Invasion of Privacy'.
# Lady Gaga - Lady Gaga’s “Shallow” from the movie “A Star Is Born” won two awards.
Jimmy Carter - Former US President Jimmy Carter won his second Grammy Award for spoken word album for his biography "Faith - A Journey For All".

BAFTA awards - Netflix drama 'Roma' won the top prize at the 72nd edition of the British Academy of Film and Television Arts or BAFTA awards. However, with seven BAFTAs in its kitty, director Yorgos Lanthimos's The Favourite emerged the top winner in 2019.

Astronauts For Gaganyaan - Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) has finally tasked the Indian Air Force for selection and training of 10 crew members for the country’s first human spaceflight programme or Gaganyaan. The first two levels of training of the crew will happen at the IAF’s Institute of Aerospace Medicine (Bengaluru) and the final phase of training will be abroad. Earlier ISRO announced to send 3 Astronauts with Gaganyaan.

Bill For Fraudulent Marriages with NRI - Against the backdrop of cases of Indian women being trapped in fraudulent marriages with non-resident Indians, a bill was introduced in Rajya Sabha to make it compulsory to register such marriages within 30 days. If an NRI man fails to register his marriage within 30 days of date of marriage, his passport can be impounded or revoked. Also, it allows courts to attach properties, movable and immovable, of "proclaimed offenders" or people who fail to appear before courts despite warrants being issued against them. Necessary legal provisions have been created in the criminal code and the Passports Act, 1967, to initiate action against erring NRI spouses.

The Incoming AU chairman President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi is expected to focus on the fight against armed groups on the continent and rebuilding efforts of countries recovering from conflict.

Himalayan Cloud Observatory - Himalayan Cloud Observatory is set up in Tehri district of Uttarakhand with a motive to forecast and monitor cloudburst incidents in the Himalayan region and help to minimize the damage. This is the second observatory in the country to monitor cloud activities by the Indian Science and Technology Department and Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kanpur that can function in high-altitudes.

According to current RBI rules, last reviewed in January 2013, banks have the option of not permitting premature withdrawals of ‘large rupee term deposits’ of INR 1 crore and above.

CMS-COP 13 is a global platform for the conservation and sustainable use of migratory species and their habitats. It has over 120 participating countries.

Asiatic Lion Conservation Project - The Ministry of Environment launched a three-year Asiatic Lion Conservation Project in collaboration with the state of Gujarat. The Ministry of Environment, Forests and Climate Change (MoEFCC) allocated Rs 59 crores, which will focus on better management of the lion habitat, disease control and veterinary care for them.

India And Norway Signed MoU - In a bid to fight marine pollution, India signed a letter of intent with the Norwegian government establishing the India-Norway Marine Pollution Initiative. In January, 2019, the Indian and Norwegian governments agreed to work more closely on oceans by signing an MoU and establishing the India-Norway Ocean Dialogue during the Norwegian Prime Minister's visit to India in January.
