Arunima Sinha - The Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi handed over the tricolour flag to Arunima Sinha, marking the beginning of her expedition to Mount Vinson, Antarctica. Ms. Arunima Sinha, the first female Divyang to climb Mount Everest. Arunima Sinha had earlier conquered the highest peaks in five continents, becoming the first female Divyang to achieve the feat.

FAME India Scheme - In order to promote manufacturing of electric and hybrid vehicle technology and to ensure sustainable growth of the same, Department of Heavy Industry is implementing FAME-India Scheme- Phase-I [Faster Adoption and Manufacturing of (Hybrid &) Electric Vehicles in India] from 1st April 2015. The scheme has been extended upto 31st March, 2019.

The university will be named after former Prime Minister, late Atal Bihari Vajpayee. It will control the quality of medical education by one syllabus and one education session. It will also help in transparency in entrance and examination system.
