India’s Tallest Building - After the construction of its 65th floor, 'The 42' (42 Chowringhee) in Kolkata has become the country’s tallest building with a height of 268 meters. 'The 42' in Kolkata has pipped south Mumbai's 'The Imperial' as India's tallest building.

United Nations Owes India USD 38 Million - The United Nations owes India USD 38 million, the highest it has to pay to any country, for the peacekeeping operations as of March 2019, UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres has said as he voiced concern over the world body's deteriorating financial health. According to his report the total amount payable to troop- and police-contributing countries with respect to active peacekeeping missions was USD 265 million.

IMF and World Bank Launched Private Blockchain - The International Monetary Fund (IMF) and the World Bank have together launched a private blockchain with a pseudo-token. The new token, called “Learning Coin” and only accessible within the IMF and World Bank, has a purpose to teach relevant individuals within the organizations about blockchain. Though the coin has no real value – hence the description pseudo-token – staff members who pass educational milestones will receive the tokens which can then be redeemed for certain rewards.

CCI Approved Merger of Bandhan Bank - Bandhan Bank has received approval from the Competition Commission of India (CCI) for the proposed scheme of amalgamation of Gruh Finance with the bank. Bandhan Bank had, in January 2019, announced the merger of Gruh Finance with it. The move was taken to bring down promoter holding in the bank to 61% from 82.3%.

India and Korea Issued Postage Stamps - The Union Cabinet was apprised about an MoU signed in February 2019 between India and Korea to jointly issue Postage Stamps on the theme "Queen Hur Hwang-ok of Korea". The MoU was signed between the Department of Posts, Union Ministry of Communications and The Ministry of Science and ICT (Korea Post).

India and Denmark Signed Agreement - The Union Cabinet approved a cooperation agreement between the Union Ministry of New and Renewable Energy and Danish Ministry for Energy on strategic cooperation in the field of Renewable Energy with a focus on Offshore Wind Energy. The cabinet also approved a Letter of Intent (LoI) between both the sides to establish an Indo-Danish Centre of Excellence for renewable energy in India.  The Agreement was signed in March 2019 in New Delhi.

International Hockey Federation Imposed Penalty on Pakistan - The International Hockey Federation has imposed a hefty fine of one lakh seventy-six thousand Euros on Pakistan Hockey Federation (PHF) for not honouring the Pro League commitments. The FIH has given the Pakistan sports body time until 20th June to pay the fine or else the penalty would be doubled.
