Satyarup Siddhanta - Indian mountaineer Satyarup Siddhanta became the world’s youngest mountaineer to climb the seven highest peaks and volcanic summits across all continents after conquering Antartica's highest point Mount Sidley. Satyarup achieved the unique feat at the age of 35 years and 262 days, setting a new world record by beating Australia's Daniel Bull who did it at the age of 36 years and 157 days.

One nation One Grid - Kargil and Leh is now connected to national power grid. In a major push to the ‘One nation One Grid’ project’ Ladakh has been connected to the National Grid for the first time since 1947. Prime Minister Narendra Modi laid the foundation for the 220 kV Leh-Kargil-Alusteng Single Circuit transmission line in August 2014.

Record Quarterly Profit - Reliance Industries Ltd became the first Indian private sector company to report a quarterly profit of more than Rs 10,000 crore after record earnings from petrochemical, retail and telecom business. State-owned Indian Oil Corp (IOC) holds the distinction of posting highest ever quarterly profit by any Indian firm when it had reported a net profit of Rs 14,512.81 crore in January-March 2013.

Palestine Took Chairmanship of G 77 - Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas has pledged to protect the interests of all 134 countries in the UN's Group of 77, as Palestine took the chairmanship of the group from Egypt for 2019. The G77 group was originally founded by 77 members in 1964 but has expanded to 134 mainly developing nations.

The GoM was constituted in pursuance of the decision of GST Council taken in the 32nd meeting held on January 10, 2019 at New Delhi. Sudhir Mungantiwar is the Convener of GoM.

Fixed Dose Combination (FDC) Drugs Banned - The Union health ministry has banned 80 more fixed-dose combination (FDC) drugs. With this, the total number of banned FDCs now stand at 405. Another 325 drugs were banned in September last year. A fixed-dose combination contains two or more drugs combined in a fixed ratio of doses, available as a single dose.

UNNATI programme - Minister of State in Department of Space Dr. Jitendra Singh inaugurated UNNATI programme of Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) in Bengaluru. UNNATI is an acronym for Unispace Nanosatellite Assembly and Training programme launched by ISRO as part of initiative by United Nations Office for Outer Space Affairs that is commemorating the 50th anniversary of the first United Nations Conference on the Exploration and Peaceful Uses of Outer Space.

Eklavya Model Residential Schools - The Union government will soon set up over 460 more Eklavya Model Residential Schools across the country. Addressing the valedictory programme of the First Eklavya Model Residential Schools National Sports Meet in Hyderabad, Union Tribal Affairs Minister Jual Oram said that the government is spending about 25 thousand crore rupees on these schools.
