Saudi Arabia Will Host G20 Summit
Saudi Arabia Will Host G20 Summit - Saudi Arabia announced that it will be hosting the G20 summit in November 2020 in its capital Riyadh. This would be the first G20 summit in the Arab world. Last year's G20 meeting was held in Buenos Aires, Argentina, where Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman had represented the Kingdom.

Sri Lanka Launched First Satellite ‘Raavana-1’- Sri Lanka on April 18, 2019 launched its first satellite ‘Raavana-1’ into space from the Mid-Atlantic Regional Spaceport at NASA’s Wallops Flight Facility on Virginia’s East Shore. The satellite, which weighs around 1.05 kg, will have the lifespan of around one and a half years.

The satellite developed by the Nepalese scientists was launched from Virginia in the United States. It is a low orbit satellite which will be in the 400-km distance from the Earth's surface.

Intermediate Jet Trainer Went For Test Flight - The modified version of the Intermediate Jet Trainer (IJT) Sitara went for flight testing. The flight, which took place at the state-owned Hindustan Aeronautics Ltd. facilities in Bengaluru, was flawless and successful. Designed and developed by HAL, the IJT (HJT36), which is for the stage-II training of Indian Air Force (IAF) pilots, was put on hold when the aircraft had encountered problem in the spin test flights in the year 2016.

Topped by Norway, the ‘World Press Freedom Index 2019′, reveals an increased sense of hostility towards journalists across the world, with violent attacks in India leading to at least six Indian journalists being killed in the line of their work last year.

Consumer research firm iResearch Global said Alibaba Group Holding’s Tmall marketplace and JD.com controlled 82% of the Chinese e-commerce market last year.
