India Presented Nine Point Agenda in G-20 Summit - India presented a nine-point agenda before G20 countries, calling for “strong and active cooperation” to deal with fugitive economic offenders comprehensively. Modi presented the agenda on international trade, international financial and tax systems here. Cooperation in legal processes, such as effective freezing of the proceeds of crime, early return of the offenders, and efficient repatriation of the proceeds of crime should be enhanced and streamlined.

US and China Agreed to Stop Trade War - The US President Donald Trump and his Chinese counterpart Xi Jinping have agreed not to impose new tariffs from January 1, 2019, and pledged to continue negotiations to seek a way out of the ongoing trade war. Trump has also agreed to hold off on raising existing tariffs on 200 billion Dollars for 90 days, pending new talks. US tariffs on 200 billion Dollars of Chinese goods were scheduled to increase from 10 per cent to 25 per cent starting January 1, 2019.

G20 Pledged to Implement Paris Agreement - G20 signatories to the Paris Agreement on climate except the US have pledged to implement of the pact in full. In the final communique after the summit, G20 leaders said that the agreement is irreversible. They also took note, of UN scientists' call for a more ambitious target of reducing the warming to 1.5 degrees Celsius above pre-industrial levels. But the US reiterated its withdrawal from the agreement and affirms its strong commitment to economic growth and energy access and security.

Digital Museum in Abu Dhabi - External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj will inaugurate a digital museum in Abu Dhabi showcasing the life, works and philosophy of Mahatma Gandhi and the founder of modern UAE Shaikh Zayed. The Gandhi-Zayed Digital Museum is part of the celebrations to mark 150th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi and centenary celebrations of the birth of Shaikh Zayed. Swaraj will be on a two-day visit to the UAE from December 3-4, where she will co-chair the 12th session of the India-UAE Joint Commission Meeting for Economic and Technical Cooperation with her counterpart Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan.

India and Spain Agreed to Swap Sentenced Prisoners - India and Spain have agreed to swap each other's sentenced prisoners, with New Delhi giving an assurance to Madrid that those sent back home will not be given capital punishment. However, both countries will have the right to review the judgment after receiving the prisoner and may grant pardon, amnesty or commutation of the sentence in accordance with its own laws.
