Sexual Harassment Case Against CJI - The Supreme Court of India constituted a special bench comprising Chief Justice Ranjan Gogoi and Justices Arun Mishra, Sanjiv Khanna to adjudicate a sexual harassment complaint against the CJI. A 35-year-old woman who used to work as a junior court assistant at the residence office of the Chief Justice of India, wrote to 22 judges of the apex court alleging that CJI Ranjan Gogoi had made sexual advances on her at his residence office on October 10 and 11, 2018.

Major Industrial Accidents After 1919 - The report titled 'The Safety and Health at the Heart of the Future of Work - Building on 100 years of experience' said the Bhopal disaster was among the world's "major industrial accidents after 1919". The report released by the the UN labour agency International Labour Organization (ILO) said in 1984, at least 30 tons of methyl isocyanate gas was released from the Union Carbide pesticide plant in the Madhya Pradesh capital. Among the other nine major industrial disasters after 1919 listed in the report are the Chernobyl and Fukushima nuclear disasters as well as the Rana Plaza building collapse.
